Job Purpose

The Centre Associate at Platform94 plays a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient day-to-day operations of the Platform94 headquarters. This part-time role involves supporting the logistical running of the centre, including reception duties, event coordination, and general operational activities. The Centre Associate will be the first point of contact for visitors and members, contributing to a welcoming and professional environment.

Responsibilities/Activities

Operational Support

  • Assist with the logistical operations and facilities management of the headquarters

  • Assist with the smooth running of all external bookings and events

  • Support with administrative tasks as required.

  • Oversee communal area upkeep to ensure clean and organised environments.

 

Reception and Front Desk Duties

  • Act as the first point of contact for visitors, members, and guests, providing a friendly and professional welcome.

  • Manage incoming calls, emails, and inquiries, directing them appropriately.

  • Manage community postage and deliveries.

 

Community Interaction

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with members, providing assistance and support as needed.

  • Facilitate communication with members regarding updates, events, and any operational changes.

  • Actively contribute to creating a vibrant and collaborative environment at Platform94.

 

Event Coordination

  • Support the execution of on-site events, including member workshops, networking events, and conferences.

  • Assist with event setup, logistics, and coordination of catering and other required services.

  • Ensure events run smoothly, providing on-site support during activities.


This list is not exhaustive. You will be required to perform such other duties as appropriate to the post, as may be assigned to you from time to time. You will be required to assist with special functions, from time to time.

During the course of your employment, as the business of Platform94 changes and develops, it may be necessary to expand your duties within the general scope of your position or to change your function. Such a change may occur to suit market demands, manpower availability, increased competitiveness, etc. and it is a condition of employment that you agree to be totally flexible with regards to your work.

In order to meet the requirements of Platform94's business and its reasonable operational needs, you may be required to carry out any other duties in addition to or instead of those to which you have been assigned. However, you will not be required to carry out duties which you cannot reasonably perform.
