Singularity was established at NASA Ames Research Park, California, in 2008 by Ray Kurzweil and Peter Diamandis in collaboration with NASA, Google, Autodesk, and ePlanet Ventures to educate and inspire leaders to use rapidly advancing technologies to address humanity's grand challenges. Since its inception, Singularity has engaged with over 70,000 leaders worldwide from diverse fields such as technology, healthcare, finance, education, and public service, all united by a common interest in leveraging exponential technologies to solve global challenges.

University of Galway Alumni Dermot Mee is a native of Co. Roscommon. Since completing his Masters in Biotechnology he has had an extensive career in the US as an Operations leader, spanning over 20 years with startup and mid-sized companies. His experience has endowed him with a deep understanding of how to scale operations effectively while maintaining agility and fostering a culture of innovation.
